In this article you will be presented with some tips on puppy rearing. We will refer to the problems that are not necessarily among the most typical ones, but rather to those incidents which should represent an alarm signal. Petmeds Coupon Code

Firstly, you must be aware that throwing up is a normal thing for a puppy. This can happen for a great number of reasons, including car drives, over exercise or simply the quality of the food. These are all factors that can cause such a reaction. In addition to this, you might also encounter this unhappy situation due to parasitic infestations, as well as a symptom of an infectious disease. To determine the exact cause is best to present the little animal to a vet, especially if vomiting lasts for more than a day or is accompanied by fever and diarrhea.

Also the lack of appetite may occur possibly due to stress of separation from the mother. In this situation it is best to try and replace the food with a wet one, suitable for the age of the puppy. It is better not give them milk, which is harder to digest, especially if it the weaning period has passed.

Another common situation that can occur is the condition of ingestion. Thus, it is always recommended that you watch the puppies carefully, without letting them swallow foreign objects. If you notice or suspect that an incident has occurred, present yourself to the vet urgently, because the intestinal occlusion can be life threatening for your little pet.

It is also known that in the first months of life until the end of the vaccination period it is recommended not to remove them from the house. Moreover, the first time you take the puppies outdoors, you should make sure you do not take a walk that is too long, because their paws are very sensitive and can easily cause pain.

The next thing you should do is always have an antibiotic ointment in the house indicated by the veterinarian. This can prove useful for deeper wounds or scratches, thereby avoiding some possible infections. You may find that puppies scratch quite often. Always check their fur and eventually if you discover parasites, make sure you consult your veterinarian who will recommend a product that can be used at their age. Another cause of scratching can be food allergies.

It is extremely important, both for the health and for the puppies themselves to maintain a close contact with your veterinarian and to follow directions. In this way you will be able to fully enjoy your puppies and you will watch them turning into healthy adult dogs.
